Employment Tribunal Compensation

Employment Tribunal (ET) compensation must be paid 14 days after the Judge makes the order, unless the Judge makes an order for it to be paid at a different date. The ET does not have the power to make your employer pay your award. It can only award further compensation where your employer has not paid certain types of award, including an additional award for failure to comply with an order for reinstatement after unfair dismissal. Interest is payable at 8% per annum, from the day after the judgment was made , unless the full amount is paid within 14 days from the judgment [Article 3(1) Employment Tribunals (Interest) Order 1990]. &nb
