ACAS Early Conciliation

ACAS Early Conciliation is a system of compulsory pre-claim conciliation that applies to most employment disputes (relevant proceedings). You or your employer  must contact ACAS before a claim can be issued in the Employment Tribunal. ACAS has a useful document called Conciliation Explained which tells you all about Early Conciliation. The service is free, and you start an application by completing the Early Conciliation Notification Form on-line.
