Issuing proceedings
Issuing proceedings is what you do when you file your claim in the Employment Tribunal (ET). This starts the process of having your complaint heard by a judge alone or a judge and two ET panel members (one for the employer side and one for the employee side). You issue proceedings on form ET1. The ET will send your ET1 to your employer and give them 28 days to respond. Your employer responds on form ET3.
