Positive discrimination

Positive discrimination is when a person is treated more favourably than another because of their protected characteristic. It is generally prohibited under the Equality Act 2010, unless there is an occupational requirement. It is allowed for disabled people and can be seen in an employers duty to make reasonable adjustments.
