Approved apprenticeship standard
The published standard for a particular sector of work in an approved English apprenticeship under the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009. Includes details of the outcomes that apprentices in that sector are expected to achieve. Apprenticeship standards show what an apprentice will be doing and the skills required of them, by job role. Standards are developed by employer groups known as ‘trailblazers’. Standards are published as they are developed and approved.
